Position Summary: We are seeking a engaged and team-focused leader responsible for the Shipping function as part of the outbound team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety, efficiency and accuracy of our employees. Your main responsibilities will include, but not limited to, providing daily leadership, direction and hands-on support, driving compliance with safety, quality and productivity, coach and manage employee performance and develop and maintain a respectful and positive work environment.
Work Schedule: This role will be supervising the 8:30 am to 5:00 pm shift, Monday to Friday with overtime as required and are responsible for closing the distribution centre each day. Weekend work is very rare, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop employees
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Sense of urgency
- Ability to function calmly in a fast-paced or stressful environment
- Personal accountability
- Customer service and results oriented
- Adapt easily to change and are flexible and open to new ideas
- Good understanding of properly building pallets with quality in mind and how to load trailers
- AS400/Mainframe, GSuite and UKG knowledge
- 3-5 years of previous shipping-specific supervisory experience
- Experience in an unionized environment would be considered an asset

Compensation and Benefits: We offer competitive pay, $57,000 - $80,000 (based on skills and qualifications), along with a comprehensive co-pay benefits package that includes extended health and dental care, an employee assistance program, life insurance, paid time off, and an RPP match.
