In accordance with LOU #7, Teaching Assistants are employed to perform work which falls under the jurisdiction of the support staff bargaining unit.

Functions and Duties

Under supervision of the Teaching and Learning Advisor, this role will perform the following duties:

  • Support the migration of courses from Moodle to Brightspace.

  • Review and compare existing course Moodle shells against migrated courses in Brightspace using a checklist provided by the Teaching and Learning Innovations (TLI) team.

  • Flag inconsistencies and help to resolve minor technical issues before the next stage of the course migration process.

  • Assist with on-boarding faculty and students to the new system.

  • Performs other related duties similar in scope, as assigned.

Position Specific Functions

Candidates should have some technical aptitude and strong attention to detail.

Education and Experience

Must be a current Okanagan College student.
