Job Overview: The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for managing incoming materials for the plant, as well as picking and preparing materials for shipment and for internal use in assembly operations. Responsibilities:

  • Process all incoming material transactions for the location in ERP system.

  • Operates forklift, hand truck, and/or other material handling equipment to move material as required, including loading and unloading trucks.

  • Inspect and label inventory on receipt

  • Inventory maintenance, tagging, placing of inventory with forklift and by hand for small parts.

  • Pick material for shipping and production orders,

  • Conduct cycle counts and support inventory reconciliation activities

  • Keep a clean and organized environment in the shipping receiving area

  • Perform related warehouse/production tasks

  • Selecting tools and materials required to complete the task at hand and follow all safety practices and guidelines.

  • Perform packaging of all outgoing shipments in accordance with company standards.

  • Create shipping documentation in Oracle.

  • Assist with package assembly and other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and good computer skills.

  • Between one to two years’ shipping/receiving experience is desirable.

  • Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail

  • Physically fit to stand for a long period of time

  • Experience in using Forklifts and lifting equipment

  • Knowledge of an ERP system will be a plus

  • Mechanically inclined
