Rogers? Chocolates is seeking a Custodian for a full time opening to join our factory team.
As the Custodian, you will be responsible for the cleaning of common areas including stairs, washrooms, halls, locker rooms, the lunchroom, doors, sinks, windows, etc. You will also be responsible for the cleaning of the production, packaging and warehouse floors. A key part of the position is cleaning in the food safe areas, including hand wash sinks, barriers, filling with sanitation supplies, removing garbage?s and waste to external bins, general cleaning of building surfaces and fixtures. The Custodian is also responsible for performing water and wastewater testing and cleaning as required.
From time to time the role will also partner with our Maintenance Coordinator on repairs and upkeep in the facility.
We are looking for a committed person who strives in an independent position and excels at providing high quality work!
Specifically the qualifications in a candidate we are looking are:
- Experience working in a janitorial, custodial or sanitation position.
- Self motivated and willing to work independently.
- Experience working in an environment with a Food Safety Program an asset.
- Attention to detail and is organized in time management.
- A good command for the English language.
- Ability to work full time (Monday ? Friday, 6:30 am ? 3:00 pm).
- A love of chocolate!
