Quick Lane is Looking for Lube Pit Technician
The Quick Lane at Zender Ford has an immediate opening for a Lube Pit Technician. This is a pre-apprentice or apprentice position and requires thorough working knowledge of oil, lube, tires, mufflers, alignment, shocks, struts and general automotive mechanical operation. The successful candidate:

Is a responsible individual, who understands the importance of showing up on time for every scheduled shift

Is always focused on doing the Job Safely

Has a valid Class 5 Drivers Licence, with clean drivers abstract

Ability to drive standard and manual transmissions will be considered an asset

MUST be available for Full Time. Shifts include mornings, days, evenings and Saturdays

Previous experience in the independent tire and automotive repair market is considered an asset
The Job:
- Perform basic functions such as: oil changes, tire rotations, detailed multi-point inspections, replace wiper blades, bulbs, filters, etc. as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
- Communicate effectively with service team and assigned service advisor regarding the status and any changes to repair order to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Keep up to date on necessary training
- Establish a finished product which adheres to factory and dealership procedures
- Communicate with applicable advisor to obtain needed parts
- Maintaining work area in a clean and orderly manner
- Show respect for customer vehicles and your workspace
- Operate all equipment and vehicles in a safe manner
- Documents all work performed as soon as the job is completed
- Uses basic mathematical skills
- Use software to assist with the repair process
Working Conditions
- Shift times will vary, including requiring work on Saturdays
This position is labour intensive that involves:
- Heavy Lifting & Manual Handling: Requires regularly lifting, moving, and carrying heavy parts and tires, often weighing between 50 and 100 lbs.
- Constant Mobility & Awkward Postures: Demands standing or walking for long periods, combined with frequent bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and reaching to work on vehicles
- Stamina for Tight Spaces: Requires entering and working in cramped areas, including under vehicles on lifts or in shallow, lube pit.
