This position is responsible for the coordination, movement and record keeping of dry inbound and outbound. Coordinate movement of raw materials and finished products for production. The Production Support Operator ensures food and employee safety in their daily routine.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate the movement of trucks traffic with local Supply Chain.
- Keep warehouse organized and clean.
- Load and unload products and ingredients safely.
- Coordinate the movement of all raw materials for production
- Complete receiving slips noting actual amounts received; shortages/overages in comparison to the bills of lading.
- Notify Quality Assurance department when samples are needed for raw materials.
- Take inventory daily of specific items as required.
- Check bills and seal numbers against receiving schedule for load PO#
- Enter details of reception into SAP and produces tags.
- Utilize scanner for inventory additions & removals.
- Report any issue, concern and delays to the Warehouse Supervisor/Shift Lead/Cell Lead.
- Ensure compliance with all food and employee safety policies and procedures.
About You
- High school diploma.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment an asset.
- Familiar with computers and SAP.
- May require a skills evaluation.
- Lift Truck license.
- Must be able to freely move around entire facility.
- Must be able to lift 55lbs.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
- Exposure to excessive noise, heat, cold and dust.
