About the role
The Chocolate Molding/Packaging Operator plays a key role in supporting chocolate molding and packaging operations by preparing, handling, organizing, and transporting raw materials and finished goods throughout the production process. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient line operations, maintaining product quality, and upholding the highest standards of food safety, employee safety, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will contribute to a clean, safe, and productive manufacturing environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
Perform accurate data entry and SAP transactions to support production and inventory activities. Enter and verify recipe information according to the production schedule. Prepare, stage, and replenish raw materials to ensure uninterrupted production line uptime. Assemble containers and perform packaging, labeling, wrapping, line setup, and cleanup activities for molding operations. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment. Support packaging and warehousing activities as required to meet operational needs. Provide coverage for the Molding Line Attendant position when required. Communicate production updates, operational details, and critical information to incoming shifts to ensure smooth and effective shift transitions. Maintain regular communication with team members, Lead Hands, and Shift Supervisors regarding production status, safety, quality, and operational concerns. Track inventory, clean magnets, and complete Critical Control Point (CCP) documentation accurately and on time. Operate lift trucks and material-handling equipment safely and in accordance with company policies and certification requirements. Maintain production room cleanliness and complete sanitation activities according to established schedules. Ensure compliance with the Barry Callebaut Operating System (BCOS), including TPM and Lean Manufacturing principles. Complete Autonomous Maintenance (AM) standard tasks daily. Perform and document all required HACCP, quality, food safety, and employee safety checks. Adhere to all company food safety, quality, health, and safety policies, procedures, and standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support operational excellence goals. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
About you
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset. Strong commitment to workplace safety, food safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Ability to accurately complete documentation and data entry tasks. Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively across shifts and departments. Ability to work independently and follow established procedures and work instructions.
Physically capable of performing the requirements of the role, including
Standing and walking for extended periods during 12-hour shifts. Climbing stairs regularly throughout the shift. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 55 lbs. Moving freely throughout the manufacturing facility. Working in a warm production environment and being exposed to heat.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
