Job Summary:
The Training Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily airport operation runs in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manager. The Duty Manager will oversee and coordinate team activities to create a safe, reliable, efficient, and effective operation.

Job Duties:
- Models Unifi's Safety goals, mission, vision, and values.
- Promotes adherence through various methods of communication
- Leads and supports the employee-engaged culture
- Oversees and coordinates team activities related to the operation.
- Monitors and enforces a safe and compliant working environment in accordance with Transport Canada, Westjet, and all other regulatory bodies.
- Coaches, counsels, and mentor's employees and enforces Company policies and procedures, including issuing disciplinary action as required.
- Promotes and adheres to Unifi Safety, Anti-Harassment, and Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
- Assists in recruiting, administrative, payroll, employee scheduling, and general administrative duties.
- Monitors staffing, overtime use, and operational and financial performance of assigned shift/station.
- Promotes team-building initiatives and performs coaching/mentoring activities to develop and motivate team members.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
- Monitor training records and compliance.
- Schedule and implement training sessions.
- Manage and mentor a team of training supervisors.
- Responsible for making informed decisions that align with organizational goals and safety standards.
- Oversee and foster effective union relations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain credentials required as per local authorities.
- Supervisory experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 70lbs and move up to 70lbs; and constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp and reach out. May have to reach above shoulder occasionally.
Working conditions:
- You will need to have flexibility in your schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. We operate 365 24/7 operations.
- Enjoy the outdoors on a daily basis (sun, rain, sleet or snow!) May be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions, jet and machinery noises, fumes, dirt and dust for extended periods.
- Must be willing and able to travel as operationally needed.
