We are currently seeking a respiratory therapist trained individual to lead our commercial efforts in Western Canada. This role is key to enable Mallinckrodt to deliver our valued medical device care program to Canadian hospitals. The person in the role will help grow the company medical device use in indicated patients across western Canada partnering with our medical and commercial teams.
Job Description Overview of the role:
- Provide brand information to the key respiratory therapists in centres where the company device is used
- Uncover growth opportunities for the company device
- Represent the key hospitals in partnership with our contracting group to track and maintain existing contracts
- Provide accurate forecasting of the planned use of the medical device for the targeted hospitals
- Manage the annual preventative maintenance schedule for the devices in the territory in partnership with our customer care specialists and technical engineers
- Deliver the revenue target for the brand in the assigned territory
- Ensure that the respiratory therapists and allied health care professionals in the brand accounts are well trained to deliver the device treatment to their patients
Essential Functions
- Deliver sales targets for defined accounts in line with company goals
- Implement a business development mind set to build and implement a detailed plan of action that leads to optimized performance
- Ability to learn deep therapeutic knowledge and to provide value in a complex healthcare ecosystem
- Adherence to our code of ethics and pharmacovigilance process while maintaining high integrity in all activities as we
- Build deep HCP and stakeholder relationships based on providing trustworthy solutions
- Remain current and knowledgeable regarding our existing contracts with hospitals
- Uncover new opportunities for growth within our indicated use
- Collaborate with Medical, Field Technical Support, Clinical and Scientific Development, Access and other departments to meet team goals
- In-service education of the medical device to HCP’s that ensures the safe and effective use of our product

Minimum Requirements Education / Experience / Skills:
- Respiratory therapist trained
- Experience with commercialization of Medical Devices and Hospital environment is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in respiratory medicine
- Good understanding of healthcare and hospital ecosystem
- Business development acumen
- Good analytical and conceptual skills
- Ability to work virtually and collaborate in a matrix organization
- Strong presentation, project management and negotiation skills
- Excellent English communication skills
- Willingness to travel significantly
- Enthusiastic, dedicated and committed approach to helping patients
