Global Education Coordinator
About the role
The Coordinator advances the University’s vision for global engagement by creating and managing opportunities that connect students, faculty, and global collaborators. Through the development of high-quality global education experiences and well-structured institutional agreements, this role ensures learners gain transformative, real-world perspectives that enrich their studies and careers.
The Coordinator leads the planning and delivery of study abroad programs, ensuring every detail contributes to a smooth, enriching experience for participants. They oversee the creation and review of institutional agreements, ensuring these partnerships open meaningful pathways for global learning while elevating the University’s international profile.
With a deep understanding of program offerings, the Coordinator shares purposeful, relevant information in innovative ways, building trust and enthusiasm among partners, academic colleagues, and students. By streamlining processes and strengthening connections across the University’s international community, the Coordinator drives operational excellence and delivers measurable results in advancing the University’s global engagement goals.
Job Requirements

Undergraduate degree in business or communications plus a minimum five years’ related experience in a post-secondary environment (preferably in the areas of partnership development, education abroad, student/academic advising, recruitment, counseling or similar), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Sound knowledge of Royal Roads University’s Learning, Teaching and Research Model (LTRM) and programs.

Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute multiple projects effectively, demonstrating exceptional organizational and project management skills.

Ability to work independently, in a high-performance team with minimal supervision and be a disciplined self-starter, taking initiative where appropriate.

Superior verbal and written communication skills, analytical thinking, effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate through various mediums.

Cultural awareness and sensitivity, and a general understanding of communication protocol and etiquette as they vary across cultures and organizations.

Demonstrated ability providing one-on-one advising, including the ability to address small and large groups in informal and formal settings and the ability to adapt speaking and presentation style to people of various linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise a high degree of discretion.

Local, national and international travel may be required as well as occasional evening and weekend hours.
An ideal candidate would also possess (asset, not required):
- Royal Roads University education
- Fluency in a language in addition to English
- Experience studying, working and/or travelling abroad.
- RISIA designation
Additional Information
This is a regular, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at MPT-B with a salary range of $69,908 (minimum) to $82,147 (midpoint) to $94,387 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
