About the role
Bartle & Gibson is preparing to open a new branch and is now hiring. Training will take place in May ahead of the grand opening. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected plumbing, heating, and electrical company and be part of a new team from day one**.**
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phone
- Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
- Processing orders in the system
- Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
- Consistent training and understanding of current products
- Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
- Handling returns as required
- Keeping counter and sales area clean
- Merchandising and showcasing product
- Other duties as required
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
- Excellent communication skills
- Impeccable organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Time management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time
- Strong networking skills, outgoing personality
- Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team
- Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalentrequired
- Post-Secondary courses in Plumbing, Electrical or Heating are consideredan asset
- Knowledge of the Plumbing, Electrical and Heating industry or a background in plumbing products would be consideredan asset
