Job Summary
The Faculty of Medicine inspires and enables excellence in health care through its medical education and research programs, and by serving and engaging society. Reporting to the Program Director, the Curriculum Coordinator will be an integral member of Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Program, they will oversee the administration and coordination of the program’s curriculum, as well as student assessment.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with MPAS staff to coordinate the development of the MPAS units, including ensuring syllabi are updated as needed.

Determines the instructional strategy and logistics of delivery and distribute program evaluation tools using on-line tools.

Develop draft and revise examinations in consultation with faculty including deferral and supplemental examinations using exam database.

Coordinate, facilitate and supervise student examination review sessions.

Assists in the implementation of new processes and procedures, and keeping up with electronic trends, such as scheduling and the use of electronic resources in medical education.

Conducts literature searches and synthesizes into teaching material and provide curriculum mapping support.
Note
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
Required Qualifications
-
Business/office administration program, plus approximately five years’ progressively responsible and related experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).

Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
-
Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
-
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and database systems.
Assets
-
Experience in a university or health professional education environment, and knowledge of medical education programs and/or academic health care environments.

Knowledge of DalMedix, One45, Brightspace and/or Sharepoint.
