What is the opportunity?
The Senior Manager, Regulatory Initiatives, Wealth Management Operational Risk & Shared Services (WM OR&SS) supports Wealth Management’s Regulatory Risk management leadership with expertise, advice and counsel to manage regulatory change and risk-based initiatives. This includes the design and execution of strategic Regulatory and Risk programs including risk and control identification/assessment, operational risk reviews on the operational risk impact of major change initiatives, process improvements and transformational projects. This role also includes portfolio management and reporting to senior management on regulatory initiatives in flight or on the horizon, ensuring stakeholder awareness of key regulatory initiatives.
What will you do?
- Assist Director, WM Regulatory Initiatives in managing new and on-going Regulatory Initiatives via portfolio management.
- Assist VP, WM OR&SS in managing Regulatory and Governance strategic priorities.
- Consolidate and prepare presentation materials for various regulatory meetings, including the monthly Regulatory Oversight Committee Canada (ROCC) and quarterly Global Regulatory Forum (GRF). Perform tracking of non-WM RIO (Regulatory Initiative Office)-led initiatives through periodic status updates.
- Assist with the development and execution of project plans, including working with stakeholders to develop action plans. Support and execute regulatory initiatives for WM and provide regulatory reporting.
- Manage the WM Product Risk Tool application, including enhancements and user testing.
- Consolidate global WM new product information and prepare quarterly risk reports.
- Prepare management requested reviews and ad-hoc reporting for management teams within WM and enabling strategic decision making.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have experience

5-7 years experience in regulatory reporting, operational risk practices, audit or compliance functions.

Financial services sector experience and knowledge of the wealth management and asset management businesses.

Experience in project management or experience in executing structured changes. Able to develop and move projects forward with independence and autonomy.

Advanced level MS PowerPoint skills to create engaging presentation materials.
-
Strong collaboration skills, including working in a cross-functional environment. Excellent communication, business writing and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced and changing environment and meet multiple deadlines.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and consistency and accuracy in output.
Nice-to-have experience
- Knowledge of securities law and the regulatory environment for financial institutions in Canada.
