We're seeking someone to join our team as a Data Engineering Lead in Finance Technology to provide ownership of maintenance and future roadmap for Snowflake platform to help achieve Morgan Stanley its business goals with optimized and cost-effective ways.

What You’ll Do In The Role
- Develop and support Data Ingestion Frameworks using Spark, Python scripting, Databricks, Snowpipe, and related technologies.
- Handle both structured and unstructured data to ensure accessibility for reporting, downstream processes, and data marketplace usage.
- Enhance data systems for better performance and scalability.
- Apply data quality and governance standards.
- Work closely with technology and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, deliver technical solutions, and provide data-driven insights.
- Contribute to team documentation and knowledge sharing by creating and maintaining technical documents and training materials.
- Review and approve design and code and help improve development processes.
- Share expertise within the broader data architecture community through presentations and knowledge sharing.
- Utilize DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, Build Automation, and Test-Driven Development, using tools like Git.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- At least 8 years of experience in Data Warehousing, data engineering, analytics, or enterprise architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Strong grasp of Data Warehousing concepts, including data modeling and transformations.
- Proficient in relational databases and complex SQL queries.
- Good programming skills, especially in Python.
- Experience with Snowflake, Power BI, and enterprise data governance frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Unix shell scripting.
- Knowledge of DevOps implementation in data environments.
- Hands-on experience with Spark, Snowflake, and/or Databricks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
