EIPS is recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE ) Grade 1 Teacher****at Lakeland Ridge.

Lakeland Ridge serves

approximately 700 students in kindergarten to Grade 9, with 33 teaching staff

and 10 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.

Lakeland Ridge focuses on academic excellence, technology, fitness

and recreation, art, and community involvement. The school's motto, "Pride

in our Pack,"

is demonstrated daily through strong literacy programs

and initiatives, an excellent character education program, leadership and peer

support opportunities, athletics, and extracurricular activities such as the

Linking Generations program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education degree

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

• Effective organization and classroom management skills

• Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

• Excellent verbal and written skills

• Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

• Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

• Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training

• First Aid training would be an asset

• Experience and/or training with the Science of Reading
