Position Overview: The FCSS Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of youth and family FCSS programs and services. Functions include program development, planning, implementation and evaluation, volunteer management, partnership development, networking, group presentation, client support, and Town of Canmore administrative tasks.

With a minimum of 2 years of related human services experience, you have developed excellent detail orientation and administration skills, you are not afraid to tackle challenging and complex conversations, provide advice, and complete reports and recommendations.
Core Accountabilities:

Implement and evaluate Town of Canmore FCSS preventive social programs and services for youth and families

Provide support, information, and referrals to clients
-
Participate in the identification and assessment of community preventive social program needs
-
Create and maintain local, regional, provincial, and federal program partnerships
-
Adhere to professional standards of confidentiality
-
Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports
-
Maintain financial accountability and reporting to the Town of Canmore
-
Participate in Emergency Social Services planning and response
Education & Qualifications:
-
Post-secondary education in a human services field such as social work, social science, education, etc. – required
-
Additional training or courses in Community Development – an asset
-
Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License– required

Compensation and Work Schedule:

Pay Range: $34.69 to $38.77 per hour

Full-time Temporary position for 16 months

Working Hours: 35 hours/week. Monday to Friday from 8.00 am – 4:30pm or 8:30am – 5.00pm, with the expectation to occasionally work weekends and evenings

Start Date: April 8th, 2026
