Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Applicants ideally have conducted research in the field of parasitology to understand the importance of host-pathogen interactions. Relevant degrees: Ecology, Microbiology, Parasitology, Epidemiology, Health Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or Veterinary Medicine.

Education:

Ph.D., or Ph.D. candidate with at least 3 years of progress in their program.

Experience:

The ideal candidate would bring experience in teaching undergraduate students the fundamental basis of parasitology by way of lectures and lab coursework. This includes systematics, morphology, biology and ecology of parasitic protozoa, flatworms, roundworms, and arthropods, with emphasis on economically and medically important species.

Salary:

$11,479 per course.

McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing.

The McGill exam sessions take place over two weeks after the end of classes, and Course Lecturers are expected to be available on the day of a scheduled final exam and are required to grade final exams as part of their contract.

This position is located in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec and you are expected to perform the work for this position in Quebec.
