This position is a two-year contract.

PURPOSE:

As an integral part of the finance team, the Financial Analyst acts as a business partner in information management, analysis and preparation of reports that helps decision-making. The incumbent will support day-to-day operations, aiming to improve account reconciliation processes and financial controls; maintain and improve internal reports, complete business initiatives, while working closely with all members of management and teams in the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Establish daily variances for financial flow entries, performing the required analyses, making needed corrections where necessary, and then communicating the explanations to the main stakeholders concerned.
• Prepare periodical statistical reporting, including financial performance, variance explanations, and cost analysis.
• Review daily transactions and calculate profitability for the business and products.
• Act as an expert on his or her area of responsibility, by mastering the understanding of the processes in place and clearly documenting the workflow surrounding flow entries.
• Support ad hoc requests and analyses by creating and running reports, searching for information in the ledger, investigating transactions and communicating with other departments.
• Contribute to the annual budget process based on the organization’s needs.
• Participate in various process optimization projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES (EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE):

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Finance).
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in a similar role.
• Strong Excel skills (knowledge of Power Query is an asset.).
• Knowledge of an ERP system is an asset.
• Experience working with Navision is an asset.

The role replaces the Financial Analyst - Treasury and involves managing expense reports in Concur for employees outside Quebec and in the United States, and communicating with suppliers for payment processing. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required to ensure clear communication and accuracy in documentation across regions.

Les responsabilités liées à ce poste comprennent, sans s'y limiter, les éléments suivants:

• Établir les écarts quotidiens pour les entrées de flux financiers, en effectuant les analyses requises, en apportant les corrections nécessaires le cas échéant, puis en communiquant les explications aux principales parties prenantes concernées.
• Préparer les rapports statistiques périodiques, y compris les performances financières, les explications des écarts et l'analyse des coûts.
• Examiner les transactions quotidiennes et calculer la rentabilité de l'entreprise et des produits.
• Agir en tant qu'expert dans son domaine de responsabilité, en maîtrisant la compréhension des processus en place et en documentant clairement le flux de travail entourant les entrées de flux.
• Soutenir les demandes et les analyses ad hoc en créant et en exécutant des rapports, en recherchant des informations dans le grand livre, en enquêtant sur les transactions et en communiquant avec d'autres départements.
• Contribuer au processus budgétaire annuel en fonction des besoins de l'organisation
• Participer à divers projets d'optimisation des processus.
• Effectuer d'autres tâches en fonction des besoins.

• Solides compétences en Excel (la connaissance de Power Query est un atout).
• La connaissance d'un système ERP est un atout.
• Une expérience de travail avec Navision est un atout.

Le poste remplace l’Analyste financier - Trésorerie et implique la gestion des rapports de dépenses dans Concur pour les employés situés à l’extérieur du Québec et aux États-Unis, ainsi que la communication avec les fournisseurs pour le traitement des paiements. La maîtrise du français et de l’anglais est requise afin d’assurer une communication claire et une exactitude des documents entre les différentes régions.
