In this role, you will:

  • Support project planning, initiation and execution
  • Support project administration, monitoring and controlling
  • Act as the team go-to for all project information, materials library, and team governance documents
  • Introduce project management tools to the team
  • Complete milestone reporting, amalgamating team success
  • Facilitate external/off-site meetings, and internal/virtual meetings as needed
  • Work with community to learn about financial assistance
  • Develop relevant Financial Assistance “one-time” delivery methods in support of project deliverables
  • Work with project team to evaluate program outcomes, maintain inventory of services, and identify service gaps
  • Ensure all complaints and resolutions are communicated to the project manager and appropriate procedures are followed
  • Create and maintain work-plan for project assistant(s)
  • Responsible for recruitment, selection and onboarding of project assistant(s)
  • Responsible for work planning and supporting team members with the project assistant(s)
  • Responsible for performance evaluation, and offboarding project assistant(s)
  • Provide regular updates at status check-in meetings with various levels of stakeholders
  • Present on project overview to various levels of stakeholders, as needed

What we are looking for:

  • Qualifications include a minimum of 4-5 years' experience and a 1-2 year post-secondary certification/diploma and/or an
    equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint is required.
  • Ability to identify, investigate and analyze problems, identify root causes and risks, and apply technical, functional and
    organizational knowledge to develop solutions.
  • Communication skills, diplomacy and empathy to interpret information and deliver advice, clarify client or stakeholder needs,
    offer solutions, and resolve escalations in new or somewhat sensitive situations.
  • Experience in program or service coordination, including the development and implementation of program or service plans,
    budgets, and evaluation activities.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process creation and/or improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in service
    delivery.
  • Ability to understand data analytics to assess performance metrics and generate reports for management.
  • Resilience and adaptability to changing circumstances and an evolving environment.
  • Strong relationship building and customer service skills, demonstrated attention to client objectives and quality assurance.
  • Fluency in English is required, working proficiency in French an asset.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to coordinate a variety of event variables.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Working Conditions:

  • Much of the work is performed in an office/hybrid work environment.
  • May include long to moderate hours sitting and using computers and office equipment.
  • This position may require travel to attend conferences, workshops and meetings as required.
