Track Loader Operator – Infrastructure (Water & Sewer)
About the role
Thompson Construction Group has immediate openings for Water and Sewer Track Loader Operators supporting our Infrastructure division’s land development and subdivision projects in the Edmonton area.
Responsibilities:
- Backfill mainline pipe, services, catch basins, fire hydrants and manholes
- Work with Hoe-pack Operator and Packer operators to efficiently carry out backfill activities
- Knowledgeable about ramping in, to place first lift on various pipe to backfill
- Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Report all incidents, near misses, and equipment damage to site supervision
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors and crew members
- Work collaboratively as part of a construction crew to meet project timelines
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a track loader operator
- Reliable transportation to and from site
- Ability to work extended hours, including up to 12 hours per day, Monday to Saturday
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is considered an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor construction environment
