Overview
Full Time Service Technician B - Orillia
6 Month Contract
The Company is currently looking for one individual to perform the duties of a temporary Field Service Technician “B” for the summer. The designated shift for this position is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; shifts will be scheduled Monday to Friday based on Company requirements. As well, The successful applicant must be able to perform “On-Call” duties on a rotating basis every second week and when required for vacation coverage – Mon-Fri 4:30pm to 10:00pm & Sat-Sun 8:00am to 10:00pm. When not scheduled in PES, the successful candidate will be scheduled in their home role based on Company requirements.
Responsibilities
- Daily support when required and determined by branch departmental requirements.
- Working alone in the trade troubleshooting and performing repair work on soft drink dispensing equipment including vending machines, visi coolers and fountain equipment.
- Delivering and installing soft drink dispensing equipment
- Using and maintaining trade tools and specialized testing equipment, ie: Electrical meters and refrigeration diagnostic tools
- Accurate completion of invoices, settlement sheets and related paperwork, through handheld computers and/or a manual paper process
- Must adhere to PBC Home Based Technician Policy when in position of the service vehicle.
- Maintain parts & equipment inventory.
Qualifications
- Able to work evenings and weekends, on-call, when required (bi-weekly)
- Flexible start times to meet customer needs if required.
- A clean Ministry of Transport driver’s abstract and CVOR certificates required, in accordance with the company’s hiring policy.
- Strong interpersonal/Organizational customer skills
- High school diploma
- Able to safely move heavy vending/cooling equipment.
- Ability to operate a handheld computer using Apple/Windows based software.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills are required - Aptitude test will be administered.
- Successful candidate must achieve weighted average grade of 75% or higher to pass.
- Test results may be utilized to determine the most successful candidate.
