About the role
Being a Credit Analyst on the Equipment Financing team at National Bank means serving as a key expert in credit evaluation. This job allows you to make meaningful impact on our organization through your expertise in financial analysis, risk management, and loan structuring. You'll play a key role in supporting Canadian businesses by offering tailored financing solutions that help them grow and thrive.
This is a key position within the Small Ticket Credit team at Equipment Financing, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and can make sound decisions in a timely manner.
Your role:
Client engagement. Credit underwriting. Risk management. Learning.
• Analyze credit application and recommend appropriate financing structures • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Risk Management teams to support sound credit decisions • Approve credit requests within delegated limits and prepare recommendations for complex cases • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements • Contribute to portfolio assessments to identify risks and propose mitigation strategies Your Team
Within the Equipment Finance sector, you'll be part of a large team of colleagues and report to the Credit Manager. Prerequisites:
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance, Commerce, or a related field, or 1–3 years of experience in financial services, risk management, or commercial lending.
- Strong skills in financial statement analysis and credit evaluation
- Knowledge of collateral requirements and credit documentation
- French fluency is an asset.
