Role Overview

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is the first point of contact for potential clients. This role focuses on proactively reaching out to targeted accounts, engaging inbound and marketing generated leads, qualifying interest, and securing meetings for Business Development Managers or Senior Sales Leaders. SDRs are skilled at initiating conversations, creating first impressions, and opening doors within key accounts. They ensure disciplined follow up, accurate qualification, and consistent progression of early-stage opportunities to support Itergy’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Engagement: Engage assigned leads and targeted accounts provided through marketing, campaigns, or leadership direction.

Outbound Engagement: Initiate outreach to assigned contacts through calls, personalized emails, and structured social engagement sequences to open conversations and advance interest.

Inbound Qualification: Respond promptly to marketing generated leads and qualify interest using BANT or similar frameworks to determine fit and appropriate next steps.

LinkedIn Engagement: Use LinkedIn to connect with assigned contacts, share relevant content, and maintain consistent touchpoints that support early-stage engagement.

Appointment Setting: Secure discovery calls, briefings, or demonstrations for Business Development Managers and Senior Sales Leaders.

CRM Management: Maintain accurate activity tracking, qualification notes, next actions, and regional alignment within HubSpot.

Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing to ensure messaging alignment and support the execution of ongoing campaigns.

Reporting: Provide weekly and monthly updates on outreach performance, engagement quality, and early-stage pipeline movement.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in regular reviews to refine messaging, improve conversion quality, and adjust outreach based on data and feedback.

Product and Market Knowledge: Stay current on Itergy’s offerings, Microsoft security and identity trends, and market developments to support credible conversations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing (preferred but not mandatory, or related field experience).
  • Strong proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and spoken form
  • Minimum of 2–4 years in sales, customer service, IT Technology sales. (IT Consulting and/or Technology Companies is a plus).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot, Orum, ConnectWise).
  • Familiarity with sales engagement tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach.io).

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and active listening.
  • Resilience and adaptability in handling rejection and maintaining consistent follow up.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Sales Techniques including initiating outbound conversations, managing objections, and delivering value-based messaging: Cold calling, objection handling, and value-based messaging.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Qualified Meetings Booked: Number of meetings secured each month with qualified prospects and assigned accounts
  • Outbound Activity Volume: Calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach executed to engage assigned contacts and advance conversations.
  • Pipeline Contribution: Opportunities influenced or advanced through qualified handoffs to Business Development Managers and Senior Sales Leaders.
  • CRM Activity and Data Quality: All calls, emails, and social touches logged accurately with complete notes, statuses, and next actions.
  • Revenue Contribution: Impact on revenue through initial assessments or workshops booked as early-stage engagements
