JOB SUMMARY
The Evening Manager plays a key role in facilitating the quality improvement in client care through compassionate, evidence-informed nursing practice by evaluating and monitoring the processes on the care units. The Evening Manager demonstrates knowledge of leadership, gerontology, mental health and principles of best practice.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides leadership through a respectful, collaborative approach to monitor, supervise and direct the interdisciplinary team in care provision.
- Develops structures and processes which integrate evidence-informed nursing practice by analyzing, interpreting and using information to support decisions in the practice environment.
- Assists in planning, developing, implementing and monitoring site quality improvement and risk management processes as per Park Place Seniors Quality Improvement Framework.
- Focus and prioritize audits according to Park Place Seniors Quality Improvement Program.
- Identify and define barriers to quality resident care and provide innovative and collaborative solutions.
- Role-models best practices and collaborates within the nursing profession to enhance Resident care.
- Works with the Leadership Team to discuss current initiatives and resolve issues as related to best practice and improved care delivery.
- Completes internal audits to ensure Continuing Care Standards and Park Place Seniors policies and processes are met
QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses plus five year’s of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Active Registration with C.L.P.N.A
- Valid C.P.R. certificate (Level HCP)
- Clear criminal record security clearance with Vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old)
- General computer skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Position requires flexibility in working hours in order to meet the needs of the staff.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a changing environment.
- Must be able to work independently, and as part of the interdisciplinary team
Physical Demands:
The LPN position requires a significant amount of lifting, walking, reaching, bending, pushing, standing and sitting. In an average day the employee spends 2 to 6 hours standing or walking. Lifts a maximum of 50 lbs., frequent lifting and/or carrying of 20 lbs. Must be able to manage stressful work situations with dexterity.
