About the role

Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Land Agent (Bilingual French / English) in the pipeline industry in a hybrid work environment in Greater Ottawa Area, Ontario.

The Senior Landowner Liaison will be responsible for negotiating access to land, ensuring various land use permits have been obtained, settling land and crop loss damages, all with a focus on fostering stakeholder relationships. This individual will be a key point of contact across the company and is expected to interface with internal team members and external consultants.

Responsibilities

Negotiate temporary workspaces and access agreements/ permits. Prepare and submit applications. Engage with landowners and key stakeholders regularly and respond to inquiries and interests in a prompt and consistent manner pertaining to pipeline operations and related matters. Track and maintain communication log for all third-party interactions including but not limited to stakeholder notifications for pipeline operations and in support of the public awareness program. Collaboratively engage with multiple business units to provide land and damage prevention related support, balancing multiple competing priorities. Support risk-mitigation and the resolution of new and legacy issues to foster stakeholder relationships and ensure adherence to the companies standards and policies.

Qualifications

Must be bilingual (French & English). Candidates must have an Oil & Gas background. Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record is required. Post-secondary education in related field of property, real estate, legal. Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in geography, urban planning, real estate, or business-related discipline. Real Estate License, IRWA SR/WA designation is preferred. Understanding of legal issues related to land acquisition and easements for pipeline operations required. Interpret legal plans, land title documents, easement documents and technical drawings required.

Required Skills

Proven conflict resolution, planning, problem solving, decision making and negotiating skills including the ability to influence in sensitive situations required.

Preferred Skills

Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations including Canadian Energy Regulator Act, Damage Prevention Regulations, and CSA Z662. 10+ years of relevant experience.

Pay range and compensation package
