Job Description
The Resource Manager serves as a strategic partner to assigned Buying Group Member (Health Authority or Other), driving operational excellence, innovation, and value creation across the contract lifecycle. This role champions key focus areas such as sustainability, technology, safety, and efficiency, while proactively resolving challenges, fostering vendor relationships, and aligning client needs with Aramark’s capabilities.
A critical component of the role involves engaging with supply chain and
vendor partners to source and deliver all required food and supplies. The
Resource Manager works to mitigate and address service-impacting issues,
ensuring continuity and quality of service. Acting as a liaison between
clients and vendors, the Resource Manager facilitates communication, resolves
operational challenges, and ensures that client expectations are met with
timely and effective solutions.
In addition, the Resource Manager plays a key role in financial and accounting
functions, including the preparation of client-facing financial statements,
monitoring of budgets, and ensuring accurate and timely billing. The role
supports financial transparency and accountability, contributing to cost
control and value optimization for both Aramark and its clients.
The Resource Manager ensures contract deliverables are met and supports
continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making and stakeholder
engagement.
Job Responsibilities
• Act as a liaison and trusted advisor to assigned Health Authorities.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitate
discovery meetings, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and
improvement.
• Resolve vendor issues, source products, and collaborate with supply chain
teams to ensure quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Champion local
and sustainable sourcing initiatives.
• Prepare financial statements and dashboards for Aramark and clients.
Monitor budgets, analyze purchasing data, and support automation and AI-
enhanced reporting tools. Support data clerks in ensuring all invoices and
purchase orders are paid in a timely manner. Prepare monthly invoicing and
data reports for clients to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Lead and support projects in assigned focus areas (e.g., safety,
sustainability, marketing). Share best practices, participate in leadership
development, and contribute to organizational training and knowledge sharing.
• Monitor and ensure contract deliverables are met across procurement,
safety, and operational efficiency. Support alignment across HAs to deliver
scalable, value-driven solutions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (ideally Food Services)
• 4-7 years combination education and experience
• Acute Hospitality Management (Food Services, Housekeeping, Laundry)
• Advanced Food Safe
• Sales, financial management, public speaking, supply chain, support
services knowledge, Adaptable, responsive, active listener, relationship
building
