About The Community Gillam School is a thriving Nursery to Grade 12 school located 304 km north of Thompson on the Fox Lake Cree Nation Traditional Territory. Gillam is a prosperous community with a beautiful, newly-renovated recreation centre that includes: skating and curling rinks, a community library, a movie theatre and a fitness centre. The community is a recreational paradise offering fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and hiking trails. Other amenities include a hospital, pharmacy and a Co-op grocery store.

What You Bring
- Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
- Master's degree in education/administration and/or Certificate in School Leadership would be an asset
- At least five years of teaching experience and five years of administration experience
- A sound knowledge of provincial curricula
- A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
- Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)
- Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
