We have an opening for a Shipping/Receiving Lead (afternoon shift) at our Calgary location. The regular hours for this role are 1:30pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday.
What you will do:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to employees in Shipping and Receiving
- Lead by example, demonstrating excellence in customer service and cultivating an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork
- Dispatch and coordinate delivery trucks in a timely manner
- Ensure safe work practices are used at all times in the warehouse
- Assist in training and coaching of the staff in Shipping and Receiving
- Ensure company vehicles and equipment are properly maintained
- Organize and assist with the day-to-day activities of Shipping and Receiving which include unloading and processing received product, placing incoming product into inventory, checking incoming product for damage and initiating freight claims
- Ensure Shipping and Receiving area is neat and organized
- Participate in inventory counts
- Perform other duties as assigned
About you:
- You have good communication and interpersonal skills
- You are energetic, motivated, reliable team player
- You have a strong customer service background
- You have a good understanding of computers
- Previous warehouse and leadership experience an asset
