Description
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, from a maintenance perspective, manages Material Handling Equipment (MHE) assets located at multiple PCL facilities (Depots A,B,C and subs) within a defined geographical region (i.e. Province of Quebec and the Atlantic region).
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities within the province of Quebec and the Atlantic region
- Work closely with millwrights and electricians
- Plan, schedule and create work orders and stage parts for kitting
- Prepare and distribute work orders schedules, monitor schedule attainment and follow-up significant concerns with management on daily basis
- Review maintenance requirements far enough in advance to detect potential problems in meeting those requirements
- Assist the inventory team and optimization of inventory and meet target KPI
- Ensure safety rules are being followed by maintenance staff members and contractors. Audit contractor’s safety protocols, credentials, and site before and after the work is completed
- Manage capacity planning and preventative maintenance scheduling
- Schedule and coordinate with vendors, fabricators and in-house maintenance team to ensure availability of required parts for the job
Experience
- 3+ years in a progressive reliability-centered environment; conveyor, material handling, courier, and mail operations
- 3+ years working knowledge and experienced CMMS software; proficient with general MS Office software;
- 3+ years' experience working with AutoCAD, NavisWorks, or Revit 4.
- General health and safety knowledge (Ontario OHSA, ESA, CSA, ULC, etc.).
