About the role
Job Summary
As a Sr. Developer you will leverage your expertise in Power BI Service MS Power BI MS Excel Database and SQL to enhance in-store vendor management solutions. You will work in a hybrid model during day shifts focusing on optimizing data-driven strategies to improve vendor interactions and store operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights for in-store vendor management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Utilize MS Excel to analyze and visualize data ensuring accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Design and maintain databases to support efficient data storage and retrieval processes.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract meaningful information from large datasets.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting platforms.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on Power BI and database management.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of data solutions to ensure they meet business objectives.
- Innovate and propose new methodologies to improve vendor management processes.
- Conduct regular audits of data systems to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and align technical solutions accordingly.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Possess strong analytical skills with a proven track record in Power BI Service and MS Power BI.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and visualization.
- Have extensive experience in database design and SQL query optimization.
- Show expertise in in-store vendor management domain.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Display effective communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hold a bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until Feb 5th 2026
The annual salary for this position is between $90-100K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
