About the role

Position Summary

Northern Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Implementation Lead to drive the successful coordination, execution, and integration of priority projects.

The Implementation Lead is responsible for leading the coordination and completion of projects or initiatives within the Health Service Delivery Area assigned by the Health Service Administrator or designate. The incumbent provides implementation, project management, q u a l i t y / process improvement and change management leadership, expertise, education, facilitation and coaching as required to team members assigned to priority operational projects. The incumbent resolves operational issues for assigned priority projects in adherence with guidelines set by the Health Service Administrator or designate and serves as a principle point of contact for all teams and services who are involved or impacted by the identified projects, to enable performance improvement and excellence in care and service.
The Lead assists with planning, implementation and monitoring of project outcomes and works closely with the Senior Operational Leaders and their leadership teams to address the impact of changes to ensure an effective and efficient implementation.

Starting salary will be approximately from $88,990 to $111,237 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Ksyen Regional Hospital
The new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. More than double the size of the previous hospital, the facility features 82 beds, private rooms, and is a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.

Terrace The thriving community of Terrace is northern living at its best. Snow-capped mountains, pristine glacier-fed rivers, lakes and streams all add to the beauty of this community. The main industries in Terrace are communications, transportation and natural resources. The population is approximately 12,700. Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Administration, Education or a related field, with a focus on the public sector environment.

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years recent, related experience in implementation, project management, change management and/or process improvement, preferably in a healthcare setting.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Broad knowledge of project design, methodologies and implementation and developing and managing project strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to focus on and achieve results.

  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving to develop progressive, creative and innovative solutions.

  • Working knowledge of human resource policies and practices, related legislation and applicable collective agreements.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to present and prepare concise analyses, reports and recommendations and to consult with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Knowledge of change management and quality improvement principles and resources.

  • Ability to demonstrate clear understanding of complex systems and skill in bridging issues amongst stakeholders.

  • Ability and willingness to travel.

  • Ability to build relationships across all levels, including the ability to overcome resistance, develop buy in and coach, mentor and educate.

  • Ability to negotiate and influence within a collaborative framework.

  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to lead change and manage conflict.

  • Ability to anticipate and respond to changing priorities or unforeseen opportunities.

  • Ability to balance multiple activities concurrently.
