What You'll Be Doing Reporting to the SVP Marketing, Personal and Business Banking, you will be accountable for the planning, development and delivery of strategic integrated marketing plans for Simplii Financial to enable the achievement of Simplii business strategy, priorities, and results. This includes oversight of all Simplii brand and marketing strategy, planning and execution across content, paid/owned/earned media, owned digital properties, marketing operations, and partnerships/innovation.

As an important member of the Marketing Leadership Team and Simplii Leadership Team, the role will contribute to the development of the overall marketing strategy, the annual Marketing plan, and will play a lead role in fostering a high performance and engaged team while building a purpose-led work culture that is a natural extension of the broader culture of our bank.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview. How You'll Succeed

  • Brand Positioning and Equity Development: Create new and distinct brand value proposition, visual identity, and marketing messaging developed from a deep understanding of our new target consumer to drive brand salience, meaningfulness, and differentiation. Partner across teams to develop coordinated strategy across Simplii and CIBC retail brands.
  • Marketing Strategy Planning and Implementation: Build 3-year, growth oriented, integrated multichannel marketing strategies. Build and execute associated annual marketing plans to support Simplii equity development, growth & financial commitments, and deepen client engagement. Drive investment against strategic priorities.
  • Creative and Content: Develop insight-driven, high-impact creative campaigns that drive client acquisition and retention. Stand-up “newsroom” to create always-on, impactful, evergreen content to drive current and prospective client engagement across all owned and earned channels.
  • Media: Partner with media COE to lead integrated media strategy, planning and execution across paid, owned, and earned channels, driving continuous improvement in media efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Website and Search Engine Optimization: Partner with Simplii growth team and technical/digital partners to develop best-in-class mobile and web experiences to support member acquisition campaigns.
  • Partnerships and Innovation: Be a digital change agent for the organization by scanning for, identifying, and building around the corner, market-leading, digital marketing capabilities and solutions.
  • Digital Delivery: Lead strategy and execution of digital marketing campaigns across owned channels with a focus on agility, speed, and quality, ensuring a consistent brand experience and fit for platform content across all paid and owned channels.
  • Marketing Data and Analytics: Partner with PBB data and analytics team to drive focus and develop approach to deliver dynamic data, analytics & technology solutions to meet current and emerging consumer & marketplace trends.
  • Team, Talent, and Culture: Create a digital-first marketing team & culture that is consumer obsessed; data focused, continuously shortening cycle time from data to insights to actions; and, forward looking, with a bias for action to early adopt new capabilities and technologies.
