About the role
Position : Salesforce Reporting Specialist
Location: Toronto, once a month onsite
Contract Length : 4 Months
We at Raise are hiring a Salesforce Reporting Specialist for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.
Description Our client is seeking an experienced Salesforce Reporting Specialist for a contract role on our core Salesforce Operations team. In this position, you will collaborate with the core Salesforce team to design and build custom SalesCloud reports and dashboards in Salesforce, and potentially in PowerBI by accessing our data lake.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Salesforce Sales Cloud experience and excels at translating business requirements into effective reports.
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running — a professional who not only knows Salesforce reporting inside-out but also understands how to present data in a way that answers business needs. You are passionate about turning data into insights and helping teams make data-driven decisions, all while working in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build & Customize Salesforce Reports/Dashboards: Based on business needs and strategy, design, develop, and maintain a suite of reports and dashboards in Salesforce (Sales Cloud).
- Ensure Data Accuracy & Integrity: Ensure the quality and reliability of data in reports by validating report results against source data. Implement best practices for naming, categorizing, and refreshing reports to keep information up-to-date and accurate. Work with Data Operations Manager for new data tasks if required.
- Consult with Global COE: Work with the Global Reporting COE to identify objects needed to enhance reporting and building templates. When appropriate work directly with end users (including Marketing, Operations, leadership and client-facing teams) to gather reporting requirements and understand their key business needs. Translate those needs into technical specifications for reports and dashboards that drive decision-making.
- User Support: Provide guidance on how to access and interpret the dashboards and reports you create. Act as the go-to expert for any Salesforce reporting questions or enhancements during the contract period. Conduct brief training sessions or create documentation for self-service reporting where appropriate. Provide coaching and training to the Salesforce Core team to further develop their knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field is preferred.
- Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Business Analyst certification is a plus, demonstrating formal knowledge of Salesforce configuration and reporting capabilities.
- Experience in a professional services firm is an asset
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud, with a strong focus on creating and managing reports and dashboards for end-users. Proven ability to leverage Salesforce Lightning reporting capabilities effectively.
- Proficient in interpreting business requirements and translating them into meaningful reports. Comfortable working with large data sets and complex datasets; able to identify trends, outliers, and key insights from data.
- Solid understanding of Sales Cloud objects and relationships (Leads, Opportunities, Accounts, etc.) to build accurate reports.
- Proven experience delivering value and insights with Power BI data from sources outside Salesforce, such as an enterprise data lake.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and consulting skills
- Ability to juggle multiple reporting requests, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage business use expectations and deliver against deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Detail and solution oriented.
