Our client is a well-established precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist-Lead Hand to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled machinist who enjoys, solving machining challenges, and producing high-quality precision components and leading a team. While this position provides technical guidance to other machinists and operators, the primary focus is hands-on CNC machining, machine setup, and producing quality parts. What You'll Do Set up, operate and troubleshoot 3-axis CNC milling machines. Produce precision components while maintaining tight tolerances. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and GD&T. Select tooling, determine machining methods and optimize machine performance. Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers and gauges. Ensure finished parts meet customer specifications and quality standards. Make program offsets and minor program edits as required. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce downtime. Support and mentor less experienced machinists by sharing technical knowledge and best practices. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area. Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Extensive experience setting up and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines (mills preferred). Experience with CNC lathes is considered an asset. Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling and cutting parameters. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work. CAD/CAM experience is considered an asset. Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Willingness to work overtime when required. What We Offer Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
