MAKING AN IMPACT
Reporting to the Director, the Digital Fundraising Manager is responsible for the end-to-end strategic planning, assessment, vision (current to future), and execution, of the Mass Marketing team’s revenue driving emails, moving us towards a predicative and automated integrated multi-channel approach to digital solicitation communications. Responsible for strategizing, assessing, and executing email and multi-channel solicitation campaigns, this role drives donor engagement and revenue growth. The manager develops data-driven plans, refines audience segmentation, and collaborates cross-functionally to implement predictive targeting tools while leveraging platforms like GA4 and Salesforce. By optimizing campaign strategies and embracing new digital technologies, this position ensures impactful communication tailored to donor profiles, fostering CCS’s mission to create a healthier future for all.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
1. Offer Strategy
- Use expertise in digital and segment analytics to perform in-depth portfolio assessment, to gleaning insights and informing strategic planning for email communications
- Assess the segment contact strategy to find inefficiencies and shape an updated, impactful approach for segment e-marketing communications collaborating with internal teams to leverage ML/AI predictive targeting tools
- Author the annual email communications strategy and fulfill the e-solicitation calendar by leveraging full email and segment performance, establishing primary KPIs and secondary KPIs to establish a framework for success
- Pilot “abandoned cart” recovery testing drip-campaign capacity with Fundraise Up
- In collaboration with Donor Communications, establish leads onboarding journey and in-year conversion opportunities that culminates in new revenue opportunities
- Work with internal teams to automate reporting for email marketing campaigns and results, regularly communicating performance with key stakeholders
- Define and continually refine key performance metrics to measure overall email marketing campaign effectiveness, make suggestions for improvements, and establish best practices.
- Develop the strategic approach to optimize existing tier-one calendar and refine tier-three and tier-two campaigns strategies by collaborating cross functionally with subject matter experts.
2. Content development & Deployment Oversight
- Create succinct agency/internal service briefs to clearly communicate the key goals and requirements of email/multi-channel campaigns
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure e-campaign requirements are reflected in creative content, collaborating with agency and internal partners to reach alignment
- Ensure the email calendar is aligned with key deployment dates and features clean formatting to support communication goals.
- Ensure emails comply with industry standards and privacy policies, mobile friendly and CASL compliant.
3. A/B Testing & Innovation
- Stay apprised of updates in the email & SMS communications space, identifying potential new testing opportunities with internal partners for assessment.
- Work cross-functionally to collaborate on test-and-learn strategies to expand email/SMS performance and identify key opportunities for growth
- Develop testing roadmap and hypotheses, create experimental designs, and implement A/B tests or multi variations to grow revenue
- Exercise flexibility by quickly interpreting test results, refining tactics/strategies to improve real-time results during campaign periods
- Create and maintain an A/B test repository that documents the results of tests and acts as a reference for the larger team
- Champion CCS as a hero in the face of cancer.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in business, marketing, communications or similar field
- 5+ years of extensive job-related experience
- Experience and knowledge of Salesforce, Marketing Cloud
- Experience creating impactful and measurable A/B tests in an organizational setting
- Experience working with predicative tools, like Dataro
- Experience with Fundraise Up, Luminate Online, or similar platforms.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic email marketing plans
- Experience with GA4 and Looker Studio, including strategic planning and revenue forecasting.
- Ability to manage external agency partners, including providing briefings
- Up to date with trends in email, SMS planning and vendor management
- Effective cross-functional collaborator who approaches all initiatives through the lens of shared organizational success
- Innovative thinker who looks for new opportunities to test and learn to drive the organization forward
- Growth mindset; constantly assessing optimizations of existing tactics and strategies while also looking forward for new opportunities for growth
- English is required, French/Bilingualism (French /English) is an asset due to the organization’s nationwide operations
