POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice President, Human Resources, will oversee the planning, direction, and follow-up of all human resources activities. The person in this role will supervise staff, budgets, and HR programs while ensuring the implementation of policies and practices aligned with organizational objectives.

This role includes: managing labor relations and collective agreements, overseeing payroll and benefits, workplace health and safety, and providing support to senior leaders in talent management and organizational development.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Developing and implementing HR strategy and operational plans aligned with organizational objectives;
  • Supervising HR teams and programs, including payroll, benefits, health and safety, and personnel administration;
  • Designing, applying, and maintaining HR policies and practices in compliance with legislation and professional standards;
  • Managing labor relations and union negotiations, addressing grievances, and supporting managers in personnel management and disciplinary actions;
  • Ensuring equity and consistency in compensation and benefits practices;
  • Providing analysis, reports, and indicators to support strategic decision-making;
  • Representing the organization on internal and external committees, encouraging cross-functional collaboration, talent development, and innovation in HR practices.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:

  • University degree in human resources, industrial relations, or a related field; a master’s degree is an asset;*
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in human resources, including at least 10 years in a leadership or team management role;*
  • Strong knowledge of labor law, union relations, and collective agreements;
  • Full proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Strong computer skills and mastery of HR management tools and systems.
