About the role
MUST: Level 3 (L3) support for Arista network infrastructure, including diagnosing and resolving complex Layer 2/Layer 3 Mississauga, ON- Open for remote work as well Key Responsibilities
- Providing Level 3 (L3) support for Arista network infrastructure, including diagnosing and resolving complex Layer 2/Layer 3 issues.
- Monitoring network performance, responding to alerts, and proactively identifying and resolving potential problems.
- Implementing network changes, upgrades, and new features, including configurations for
- routing protocols like BGP and OSPF, VXLAN, MLAG, and EVPN.
- Contributing to network design, performance tuning, and optimization eorts, potentially
- involving leaf-spine architectures and network overlays.
- Utilizing tools like Arista CloudVision Portal, Ansible, Python, and Terraform to automate
- network configurations and management tasks.
- Maintaining detailed documentation for incident reports, Root Cause Analysis (RCAs), and
- change management records.
- Working with other IT teams and vendors to resolve network issues and ensure service availability.
- Ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other compliance requirements.
- Building and maintaining a deep understanding of Arista technologies and sharing knowledge with others.
- May involve working directly with customers to provide technical support, present solutions, or conduct training.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in Arista EOS, CloudVision, and eAPI .
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols: STP, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MLAG, and EVPN.
- Proficiency in network automation tools: Ansible, Python, and Terraform.
- Experience with network monitoring and log analysis tools .
- Excellent communication and documentation skills .
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills .
- Experience with high-availability, low-latency, and large-scale networks .
- Experience with SD-WAN and hybrid cloud networking is beneficial .
Certifications
- Arista Certified Engineering Expert (ACE) - L2/L3 .
- CCNP/CCIE (Routing & Switching/Data Center) .
