Laborer / Landscaper

GCS is looking for a Laborer / Landscaper for work in Red Deer and surrounding areas. This position supports HDD drilling work to upgrade fibre service in residential areas of Red Deer(& surrounding).

RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide some idea of the tasks you may be performing, a list of responsibilities may include:

• The work scope is backfilling and moving materials for HDD Drilling (fibre) construction;

• Must be willing to perform manual labor as required (including shoveling and digging);

• Backfilling

• Site preparation

• Digging, shoveling, planting, leveling

• Operating small equipment and hand held tools

• Keep site tidy and safe

• Site clean up

• Work with minimal supervision and direction;

• Execute work in a safety conscious manner;

• Complete all site documentation as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications for this project are a combination of skills and attitude:

• Laborer experience;

• Physically fit and capable of lifting 50 Lbs.;

• Strong Work ethic;

• Neat and diligent in maintaining equipment;

• Good judgement and problem-solving capacity;

• Fit to work in a rigorous environment;

• Team player

• Safety Conscious

• Great Attitude

• Ability to work long hours (10 hour days)

• Ability to work in congested areas in residential neighborhoods;
