Facilities Manager /Riverbend Special Care Home / Regina, Saskatchewan

Permanent Full Time. Monday to Friday with some weekends

Sienna Senior Living owns the building and property, while the Saskatchewan Health Authority manages the day-to-day operations as Riverbend Special Care Home. The Facilities Manager (FM) oversees all maintenance activities, including ensuring the facility maintains high standards of comfort, safety, and functionality and reporting. The FM is responsible for quality assurance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and providing residents, staff, and visitors a safe and welcoming environment. This role is integral to supporting quality resident care by aligning operations with Sienna and SHA's needs and values. As such, the FM will be required to take direction from both organizations to ensure optimal building and property maintenance.

What You Will be Doing:

  • Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance and risk management systems to meet legislative and organizational standards
  • Administer preventative maintenance programs for all building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, fire safety systems, and emergency generators
  • Address risks and implement actions required in accordance with polices and regulations
  • Maintain the building, furnishings, equipment, and grounds
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety protocols, including regular drills, inspections, and equipment testing. (including monthly fire and generator testing)
  • Participate in emergency planning and response activities to maintain operational readiness
  • Manage expenditures, and invoicing accuracies

Who You Are:

  • Have a post-secondary degree or diploma; secondary education in environmental services or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
  • Strong operational skills with the ability to oversee multiple departments and projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and facility management software.
  • Joint Occupational Health & Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)
