This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.
Job Purpose And Impact
The Raw Material FSQR Specialist responsible for managing and coordinating all food safety, quality, and regulatory activities at the Nantes location will ensure internal collaboration and connectivity for all policies, standards and trainings. The specialist collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, commercial teams, plants, as well as with external stakeholders such as suppliers, laboratories, and auditors. This role ensures full compliance with internal policies, requirements, and applicable regulatory standards, acting as the key point of contact for food safety matters.
Key Accountabilities
Scope includes agricultural trading of raw materials: grains, oilseeds, and meals. Conduct inspections and analyses of raw materials, applying procedures (e.g. risk assessment, control plans) to identify defects and trends. Lead and ensure compliance with regulatory, laboratory, food/feed safety and quality standards aligned with customer, supplier, and government requirements. Manage and maintain local food safety procedures and programs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess and mitigate quality risks. Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, audit compliance and resolution of quality issues. Oversee training (development, delivery and scheduling), mentor team members, ensure safety procedures are implemented and manage certification audits (e.g. Efisc-GTP). Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Other minimum qualifications may apply.
Preferred Qualifications
Attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills. Moderate computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and database navigation). Validated change management in an industrial setting. AI solutions knowledge. English & French speaking is a must.
