Esports Specialty Instructor (Part Time)
Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton
Salary: $16.40/hour - $20.15/hour
Start Date: June 2026
End Date: August 28th, 2026
The successful candidate will be 18 years of age or older.

Knowledge and experience in the Esports and video gaming sector

Familiarity with consoles and software such as Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Discord

Experience working with children and youth

Competency in oral and written communication skills, including basic use of technology

Maturity and the ability to work independently
-
Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certified within 12 months

Evidence of a cleared Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search

###What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?
Duties and Responsibilities include;
Operational Excellence

Provide active in-ratio Esports program delivery to children and youth ages 8 – 17

Execute program curriculum content
-
Develop positive relationships with children, youth, and families

Collect feedback and report incidents and trends to the Esports Supervisor
Health & Safety
-
Follow all YMCA Calgary Emergency Procedures, Health & Safety, and Child Safety & Protection/Safeguarding policies
Staff Development and Capacity Building
- Provide support and mentorship to program volunteers
