Esports Specialty Instructor (Part Time)
Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton
Salary: $16.40/hour - $20.15/hour
Start Date: June 2026
End Date: August 28th, 2026

###What qualifications are we looking for?

At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals.The successful candidates will have the following;

• Knowledge and experience in the Esports and video gaming sector

• Familiarity with consoles and software such as Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Discord

• Experience working with children and youth

• Competency in oral and written communication skills, including basic use of technology

• Maturity and the ability to work independently

• Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certified within 12 months

• Evidence of a cleared Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search

• Three professional references

###What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

Duties and Responsibilities include;

Operational Excellence

• Provide active in-ratio Esports program delivery to children and youth ages 8 – 17

• Execute program curriculum content

• Develop positive relationships with children, youth, and families

• Collect feedback and report incidents and trends to the Esports Supervisor

Health & Safety

• Follow all YMCA Calgary Emergency Procedures, Health & Safety, and Child Safety & Protection/Safeguarding policies

Staff Development and Capacity Building

• Provide support and mentorship to program volunteers
