About the Opportunity: We are looking for Community Connector who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and promoting inclusive societies. Reporting to the Manager, this position is responsible to work with a caseload of people served, their staff, and stakeholders to provide meaningful opportunities within their community that align with their individual goals and dreams.
Qualifications
- Experience, education, or training in the Disability Sector will be considered an asset
- High School Diploma is Required.
- Core Competencies: Advocacy, building relationships, championing change and innovation, facilitating growth and development, inclusive leadership, problem solving and decision making, resilience, resource management, strategic thinking, valuing EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusion)
- Experience working or volunteering in Human Services is an asset
- Valid Manitoba Class 5F (Full) Driver's License and access to vehicle, willingness to transport person supported required
- Clear Adult & Child Abuse Registry and satisfactory Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector. Document will be considered current if obtained no more than 3 months prior to start of employment

Working Conditions:
- Interact with family members, staff, visitors and government agencies.
- Travel within the community.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to fifty (50) lbs, dependent upon location.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop/laptop computers, or other devices (i.e. tablets)
- Ability to work during inclement weather.
- Overtime may be required.
Additional Info:
- Application is open until position has been filled.
- This is a full time position that will be scheduled a minimum of 30 hours weekly from Monday to Friday anytime between 8:00am to 4:00pm. Also some weekends and evenings will be required to offer support.
- Working Environment: 100% On-site
- Location: Steinbach, Manitoba
