About the role
TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a MILLWRIGHT for an opportunity in the Edmonton area in a manufacturing plant environment. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.
Job Description:
- Responsible for preventative maintenance, inspecting and repairing mechanical equipment within the plant facility such as pumps, seals, motors, conveyors and various other pieces of industrial equipment.
- Assemble, fit, align, and adjust machinery and equipment.
- Interprets drawings, plans and determines the best way of making machining repairs to minimize interruption to production.
- Working with plant engineers and operational staff to identify technical deficiencies or to resolve problems on plant equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Journeyperson Millwright Certification (Alberta) or Red Seal Interprovincial Certification.
- 5+ years of Millwright experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or processing environment is an asset.
- Previous experience maintaining equipment in a plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.
- Proficient with precision measuring tools and alignment techniques.
- Familiar with maintenance management systems and basic computer applications.
- Safety-focused, with a strong understanding of company and regulatory safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Eager to learn and take on new challenges.
- Positive attitude and able to work in teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to pass the pre-employment background checks (criminal record check and drug and alcohol test)
