CAMH’s Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre is the first Centre of its kind in Canada focused exclusively on improving care, research, and education for adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities (NDD) and co-occurring mental health challenges. The Centre supports inclusive, innovative, and impactful work across four core pillars: research excellence, clinical innovation, education and training, and knowledge exchange.
We bring together clinicians, scientists, system leaders, family and self-advocate advisors, and implementation experts to bridge the gap between evidence and practice. Our work includes leading system transformation initiatives, conducting implementation and evaluation studies (including Acceptance and Commitment Training [ACT] for family caregivers), and developing accessible knowledge translation products that centre lived experience and promote equitable service delivery across Canada.
Position Overview: The Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre is seeking a part-time, contract (12-month) Scientific Associate to support a national initiative funded by Brain Canada and the Kids Brain Health Network (KBHN). This role will contribute to strengthening regional implementation teams and supporting the scale-up and evaluation of a clinical program across Canada.
Core responsibilities including coordination, training, and stakeholder engagement, will be delivered virtually to support collaboration across Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta. The role also involves engagement with national partners, including KBHN operations leadership and federal stakeholders, to ensure regional implementation aligns with broader research, funding, and policy priorities.
The Scientific Associate will play a key role in overall project coordination, implementation support, evaluation activities, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge translation across regional and national partners.
Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will:
- Support the oversight of data collection protocols, and evaluation activities across multiple regional and national sites and may be required to also support regulatory submissions;
- Contribute to implementation, evaluation, and scale-up of the CC-ACT program in collaboration with provincial and regional partners;
- Co-lead virtual ACT training sessions, cross-site meetings, and knowledge exchange activities to promote consistency and shared learning;
- Liaise with regional implementation teams, researchers, clinicians, system partners, family advisors, and national stakeholders to support strategic and operational alignment;
- Develop and monitor cross-jurisdictional work plans to ensure timely delivery of project milestones;
- Contribute to program refinement by integrating emerging evidence, implementation insights, and national standards;
- Co-develop accessible and inclusive knowledge translation products (e.g., toolkits, implementation guides, newsletters, workbooks);
- Support qualitative and quantitative data analysis and contribute to reports, presentations, manuscripts, and policy-facing products;
- Contribute to Centre-wide evaluation and learning processes, including reporting to national funders;
- Participate in grant development and manuscript preparation, as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- PhD in Psychology, Social Work, Health Services Research, Implementation Science, or a related social/health science field;
- Minimum 1 years of research experience in mental health, neurodevelopmental disabilities, or healthcare service improvement;
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with families, including co-designing research, tools, or services that reflect lived experience and caregiver perspectives; experience using family-centred, neurodiversity-affirming, or strengths-based approaches is highly valued;
- Demonstrated experience with multi-site or cross-jurisdictional initiatives, ideally involving national or provincial stakeholders; experience bridging clinical services, academic research, and policy environments is an asset
- Experience with implementation and evaluation research, particularly involving system-level, policy-aligned, or community-engaged approaches; including translating evidence into practical tools, programs, or service innovations
- Strong writing skills with experience producing reports, manuscripts, knowledge translation materials, or policy briefs; demonstrated ability to mobilize research findings for practice and system improvement;
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders including people with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their family caregivers, service providers, and system leaders;
- Strong project management, organization, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage timelines across multiple projects;
- Bilingualism (French/English) and/or fluency in other languages is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary is competitive and based on experience, with a hiring range of $91,758.17 – $114,697.71 per year.
- Employees in this role may progress within the full pay range of $91,758.17 – $137,637.25 per year
