Job Title: Payroll Administrator (Summer Student)

Job Type: Temporary (8-week contract), Full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week)

Schedule: Weekdays

Salary: $20.00/hour

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting with data entry for payroll and benefits systems.
  • Helping verify employee information for accuracy (e.g., addresses, banking details).
  • Supporting the team in preparing basic payroll reports and summaries.
  • Responding to routine employee inquiries about pay dates, benefits coverage, and claim processes.
  • Organizing and maintaining confidential employee records in compliance with company policies.
  • Assisting with benefits enrollment updates and documentation.
  • Providing general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and updating spreadsheets.

What you bring to the table:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Business, HR, Accounting, or related field preferred).
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Between the ages of 16–30 (eligibility requirement for summer student programs).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to respond to inquiries professionally.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in payroll, HR processes, and administrative functions.

Please note the selected candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.
