Job Summary
Reporting directly to Operations Manager, Infinity General Contracting the Snow Removal Operator/Labourer is primarily responsible for safely operating a range of heavy equipment and light motorized vehicles to support winter maintenance activities and labourer support. Key responsibilities include performing operating equipment, general labourer tasks, transporting materials, maintaining equipment logs, responding to emergency callouts, and adhering to safety procedures such as field-level hazard assessments and daily toolbox meetings.
The incumbent will conduct all activities in a manner that supports the mission, vision, and values of the Infinity General Contracting, as well as adherence to all established and amended Policies and Procedures.
This full-time hourly temporary position is based on forty (40) hours weekly. Additional hours may be required to meet Company and/or Client requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities

Operate assigned heavy equipment and light motorized vehicles, including but not limited to, loader, snowplow, trailer towing, and skid steers.

Perform various grounds maintenance duties such as, shoveling snow, plowing, sanding, salting, sweeping, and collecting refuse.

Load, unload, and deliver material and supplies between various locations.

Maintain a daily operation equipment log, documenting condition and operational status of all equipment.

Complete training on equipment as required by the Operations department.

Complete field level hazard assessments (FLHAs) and incident reports as required.
-
Contribute to daily safety toolbox meetings.
-
Assist certified operators and perform general labour tasks related to the preventative and corrective maintenance.

Proactively identifies and initiates projects or tasks without requiring direct supervision.

Adapts quickly to shifting client needs and project scopes, ensuring service continuity and high-quality delivery.

Place barricades, signs, and traffic cones around work sites where required, and,

Other relatable duties as required.
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma ‘GED’ equivalent is required.
-
Two (2) years of related snow removal/labourer experience is required.

Valid Class Three (3) Driver’s License is required.

Skid Steer ticket is an asset.
-
Criminal Record Check is required.
-
Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Test may be required.
-
First Aid Certificate is considered an asset.
-
Ability to work on-call and on a rotating shift that includes holidays, evening/night shift, and weekends.

Mechanical aptitude and previous maintenance experience is considered an asset.

Ability to understand and execute written and verbal directions.
-
Demonstrable knowledge of occupational hazards, signage, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and applicable safety precautions as per industry standards.

Ability to deal courteously and effectively with a diverse range of people, using judgement, and tact.

Ability to work collaboratively and productively with co-workers and actively contributes to team activities.

Ability to multi-task, organize work, set priorities, and achieve work related objectives and goals.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Must be able to listen attentively and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Ability to perform manual labour for extended periods of time under various weather conditions.
