About the role
Join a dynamic team seeking a skilled freelance web developer to provide technical expertise for a Shopify store. The role involves stepping in to handle advanced code changes, bug fixes, and customizations beyond the capabilities of the internal team. You will be responsible for implementing custom solutions, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Shopify platform. This is an hourly, as-needed position with the potential for ongoing collaboration based on performance and fit.
Responsibilities
- Execute custom code changes and bug fixes within Shopify stores
- Edit and maintain Shopify Liquid files, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Collaborate with internal team members to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Respond promptly to requests and communicate progress effectively
- Ensure all changes are tested and deployed without disrupting store functionality
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience with Shopify development, including Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for Shopify environments
- Ability to implement custom features and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Reliable, responsive, and able to work independently on an hourly basis
- Experience working with remote teams is a plus
