Birch Mountain Enterprises LP (BME) is hiring Steam Truck Operators for 6-7 month temporary positions, with the potential to become permanent. (Flights and Camp NOT offered)
The minimum requirement for this position is a Class 5 license with Air Brake (Q) Endorsement.

Job Summary:
Operating from Fort McKay Incubator Park or Fort McKay Industrial Park, this position involves the safe operation of a Steam Truck for washing of heavy equipment and various industrial related projects throughout the Fort McMurray region.
Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in the operation of high-pressure steam trucks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operation of a High-Pressure Steam Truck - washing heavy equipment and light duty vehicles
- Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to paper or electronic logbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections
- Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor
- Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image
- Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Class 5 with Q endorsement driver’s license with a relatively clean driver’s abstract.
- Experience operating high pressure steam truck.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- WHMIS, OSSA (or OSSA BSO or CSO) and CSTS certification.
- Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment screening.
Compensation and Schedule:
- Competitive hourly rates
- 7 on, 7 off shift rotation. Days and Nights
