Wages

-$48.55/hr.

Schedule

  • Shift - 2nd Shift (Aft) coverage as per the CBA;
  • Weekends and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other maintenance technicians and trades persons to address facility needs and equipment operations;
  • Performs Preventative Maintenance and Repairs of Industrial Facility machinery and mechanical equipment including pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, lubrication, cooling and exhaust systems, pumps, fans, tanks, and conveyors;
  • Conduct routine inspection and testing of machinery and equipment for operations;
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices;
  • Troubleshoot Facility equipment failures to ensure minimal downtime;
  • Performs mechanical repairs to correct or adjust any facility malfunction(s);
  • Assemble, install, calibrate and align machinery and equipment to ensure accuracy;
  • Ensures timely and proper completion of all work orders including documentation;
  • Practice and enforce all company and site policies, safety protocols and procedures;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or Millwright;
  • A valid License (433A) with Skilled Trades Ontario;
  • Promotes and exhibits strong safety practices;
  • Experience in manufacturing facilities;
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and pumps;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Experience in facility maintenance;
  • Available for overnight shifts and flex-time schedules are required;
  • Ability to commute to General Motors in Oshawa, ON for work.
