Annual salary: 1,792.24 - $2,257.45 biweekly

The location for this position is in our Dunsmuir, Vancouver, BC office.
Key Responsibilities:
The Project Controls team within Technology Delivery is responsible for ensuring technology projects and programs are set
up for success and are adequately governed and supported throughout the delivery lifecycle. The programs and projects
scale from business group to enterprise level, and require a variety of technologies and solutions, software packages,
custom development, cloud, mobile, analytics, systems integration, infrastructure, and cybersecurity considerations.
One of the tools that the team uses to engage with the delivery community is a SharePoint site that contains all the
necessary documentation, templates, and guidelines to enable the Project Managers to manage their projects within
acceptable guiding principles. As the site has grown over the years, a report was written to recommend usability and
propose improvements, along with design improvements for the entire site; there is now a need to implement the
recommendations outlined in the report. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for executing the
recommended and accepted changes.

Become familiar with the recommendation report and understand the approach to enact the changes to the site.

Implement changes in a development environment

Conduct Change Management to manage expectations

Execute go-live activities

Conduct follow-up
Additional activities:

Involvement in Quarterly PMO meeting, act as coordinator/facilitator under guidance

Involved in PMO team meetings, Delivery meetings

What you bring
- To qualify as a candidate, individuals must be enrolled in the Co-op Program and have yet to graduate from a recognized
post-secondary institution in Canada.

Minimum 2nd year students currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.

Familiarity with, or a motivated desire to learn Sharepoint backend.
-
Web development experience an asset.
-
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What we offer
- As a condition of employment at BC Hydro, a background check clearance will be required. This may include: reference
checks, education verification, employment verification, criminal record check, drivers abstract review, and a drug and
alcohol test.
- All positions will be hired first as a four month work term. For some positions, there is opportunity to extend, to eight
months.
- Students are expected to work at the job location for their co-op role and it is the student’s responsibility to relocate
themselves if necessary.

Flexible work model role definitions:
Our four role types identify the degree of flexibility an employee could have to work from home based on the type of work
they do. The flexibility for an individual job is up to the manager for each position and the operational requirements.
Employees also have the right to work full-time from the office if they prefer. All of our roles require at least some in-person
time.
Resident – Works primarily (4+ days per week) in the office.
Hybrid – May be able to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Remote – Works from home 4+ days per week
